Handing over the fleet of high-speed passenger boat made of FRP composite materials to Hung Thinh Corporation. Song Lo Boat once again affirms its brand and shipbuilding quality with the trust of leading corporations in Vietnam including Vingroup, Novaland, Sun Group, Hung Thinh Coporation…
Year 2018
Handing over the first 13 fully electric boat fleet in Vietnam to Vinpearl Land Nam Hoi An. Using electric motors from German motor manufacturer Torqeedo and BMW i3 batteries.
Year 2017
Successful installation of the Water Jet DOEN 170 propulsion system with the first fully electronic steering system installed on a tourist passenger ship in Vietnam.
Year 2010
Successfully launched the FRP Van Phong composite patrol ship for the Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command. Using the first Surface Drive propeller system in Vietnam for a ship speed of 32 knots.
Year 2007
Song Lo exports the first FRP composite speedboat to the Australian market.
Year 2005
Successfully launched the Oil Refinery service ship of the Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical project, Quang Ngai of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.
Year 2003
Launching the CT01 Speedboat – the largest passenger speedboat made of FRP material built in Vietnam at that time – 56 passengers – 27 nautical miles/hour for Vinpearl Land Nha Trang, a member of Vingroup. Up to now, Vingroup has put into operation nearly 30 passenger ships of this type.
Year 2001
Song Lo successfully built the Manh Ha tuna fishing fleet – This is one of the first commercial fleets built with FRP composite material in Vietnam. The fleet is still being commercially exploited today.
Song Lo successfully built the Hai Duong 01 ship – This is the first glass-bottomed tourist ship in Vietnam to take visitors to see the coral in Nha Trang Bay.
Year 2000
Song Lo Shipbuilding Company Limited was founded by three marine mechanical engineers from Nha Trang University of Fisheries (now Nha Trang University). All three of them had previously participated in the VN90 project – the project to build the first FRP composite ship in Vietnam.
After 20 years of operation, Song Lo Shipbuilding Company Limited has achieved many successes in the domestic market and become one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam in the field of building and repairing high-speed canoes, tourist boats, public service boats… using FRP composite materials.
